Discovery Space is for everyone, but especially children ages 2 to 12.

We feature fun, interactive exhibits and special programs each week.

When Is Discovery Space Open?


Wednesday through Saturday, 10am – 5pm
Sunday, 12 – 5pm

Mondays and Tuesdays

Closed on these holidays:

Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Day, Easter Sunday, 4th of July


Regular admission is $6 per person. Children under 2 years old are free. All children 17 and under must be accompanied by an adult.

Group rate is $5 per person for groups over 10 when reservations are made at least 48 hours in advance.

Save with a membership! If you buy a membership at the museum on the day of your visit, any admission charges you previously paid that day will be deducted from the membership cost.

Where is Discovery Space?

Discovery Space is located at 112 W. Foster Avenue, adjacent to Friedman Park in the heart of downtown State College. The museum is an exciting link in the revitalization of the downtown area and is close to Schlow Centre Region Library as well as The State Theatre.
