Makeuary… be creative this winter!

Each year we host Makeuary in January and February. During the event, we propose a new challenge or STEM craft and invite families and children to participate together for free with admission. Given the nature of the activities, we ask that parents help their children with all activities, even if it just means making suggestions. We want every child to have a safe and fun STEM experience during Makeuary!

  • January 3-7 – Recycled Robots

Back by popular demand! Design and build your own robot out of recycled materials!

  • January 10-14 – Marble Maze

Design a maze and test it. Challenge your friends and family to try it out!

  • January 17-21 – Flight Technology

Experiment with designing things that fly, glide and spin.

  • January 24-28 –  3D shapes

Cubes, tetrahedrons, cones and more! Decorate and build 3D shapes out of paper.

  • January 31-February 4 – Cardboard City

Design a building to add to our city! The possibilities are limitless!

  • February 7-11 – Colors and Coding

Explore coding this week without using a computer!

  • February 14-18 – Balance Sculptures

Experiment with gravity as you create a freestanding structure.

  • February 21-25 – Pluck and Play

Create music as you design and test string-like instruments using rubber bands, wood, and an amp!
